The Labuan Public Hospital Health Emergency Management Bureau joined the 6th Regional Rescue Olympics inter-DOH retained hospital held last July 26-28, 2017 at Grand Astoria Hotel Zamboanga City with the different Health teams from other hospitals and Local Government Units.


The competition composed of 4 categories on knowledge, skills benchmarking, rescue chants and mass casualty incident management simulation. There are 2 sets of competition, inter-DOH retained Hospitals EMS with 7 teams from different participating agency and inter-LGU response teams with 2 teams from different LGU. LPH teams competed on inter-DOH retained Hospitals EMS and awarded with 1st runner up on overall result of the competition. On the 1st day. The program proper started with the invocation and singing of Philippine National Anthem to followed by Opening remarks by Director III Department of Health Dr. Joshua G. Brillantes and Massage from Regional HEMB Coordinator Mr. Maxxel Bermas, RN, EMT-B. Examination was given to the participants is part of the criteria. Lecture proper on Emergency and Medical Issues during Emergency were given by the core Instructors. Second day of the event Cardio Exercise was conducted with Jogging with 5 kilometers and Rescue chant competition was done. Bench Marking was conducted in the afternoon. Most awaiting part of the event is on the third day which is Mass Casualty Incident simulation. LPH team was last to perform the task. Awarding of the certificates and trophies was done at the night during socialization. Closing Remarks was given by Mr. Maxxel Bermas, RN, EMT-B.
